Seattle and the surrounding Puget Sound region have a large number of people passionate about CS education. Here are many groups you can connect with:

  • Sound CS Ed is a quarterly meetup of Puget Sound CS educators, education researchers, product designers, and non-profit organizers who are passionate about bringing educating every one in Puget Sound about the power of computing.

  • The Code and Cognition Lab at the University of Washington, directed by Professor Amy Ko, meets weekly to discuss CS education research. Write Amy to engage.

  • The Puget Sound CS Teachers Association brings together CS teachers from around the region to network and organize an annual programming contest.

  • Code.org, which is a national CS for All advocacy organization, is headquartered in downtown Seattle, and often holds events.
